I knew millions of teens and young adults lived in shelters, foster care, on the street, or couch-surfed every night.
But it wasn’t until 2 of my former students were without a safe and loving place to live that I felt moved to help. It seemed like someone else’s problem until it was on my doorstep… literally.
I can’t help them all, but that won’t stop me from trying to help a few. Join me in raising money to purchase a Launchpad, a single-family home that will serve as safe housing for 5 youths for 2 years each.
Launch will provide shelter, paid utilities, and education and employment help to 5 homeless young adults every 2 years. Residents will be required to complete a financial literacy course and save toward the cost of securing their housing of their own at the conclusion of their 2 years of residency.
Funds raised with this stage-1 goal will go toward closing costs, refurbishing & legal fees, medical evaluation and insurance for each resident, and a house overseer.
Together we can support and help meet the basic needs of 5 young adults a year. Thank you for your donation of any amount.
