There are people who earn just enough money to get by, but who wake up every day excited to work. Their why is rooted in something that has nothing to do with their income. So when the clichés fly around about doing work you love or finding your passion, beneath all of that, figure out why. What change do you want to make in the world, what do you want your life to be about, and why?
No one cares
No one cares about your plan.
No one cares that you’re tired.
No one cares about what you’re working on.
Just because they follow you doesn’t mean they like you.
Just because they favorite your post doesn’t mean they care.
Just because you think it’s important doesn’t mean they will.
Just because they call you their friend doesn’t mean they’re yours.
You can’t do it to impress.
You can’t do it to prove other people wrong.
You can’t do it because they’ll talk about you if you don’t.
You can’t do it to gain friends or to feel more important.
You have to care.
You have to do it even when that means going at it alone.
You have to be willing to put in the long, hard, lonely hours.
You have to be willing to keep working even if people don’t support you.
Why is it worth doing?
-So you can have lots of money?
-So you can work when you want to?
-So you can travel?
-So you can change the world?
-So you can buy your parents a house?
-So people don’t think you’re a loser?
Why?
